Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) supporters left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Chinle Wildcats (Chinle, AZ), 17-0 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Gallup improves its record to 6-7 on the year. The Bengals travel to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM) to play the Bobcats in a 4A District 1 game on Tuesday, April 8. The Bobcats enter the game with a record of 4-11. Bloomfield lost 19-18 in their recent league game against Shiprock (Shiprock, NM)

The Wildcats now hold a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Monument Valley for a 3A North game on Monday, April 7. Chinle will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 4-0 league loss to Page (Page, AZ). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-5.
