In Saturday's non-league match, the host Clatskanie Tigers softball team scored a tight 6-4 victory over the Salem Academy Crusaders.

The Tigers (6-3) will now prepare for their match against St. Paul (St. Paul, OR). The Buckaroos go into the non-league match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, St. Paul tipped Western Christian (Salem, OR), 25-9, in a league match.

In their next game, the Crusaders battle the Kennedy Trojans (Mt. Angel, OR) in a 2A/1A-SD2 Special District 2 match, on Wednesday, April 9. Salem Academy will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record. The Trojans go into the match with a 3-2 record after their 11-1 league win over Country Christian (Molalla, OR).
