The Iowa Yellowjackets softball team scored 11 runs and held the host St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers to 0 in the Yellowjackets non-league win on Saturday.

The Yellowjackets now possess a 23-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sam Houston for a non-league battle on Monday, April 7. Iowa will confront a Broncos team coming off a 13-2 league win over Acadiana (Lafayette, LA). The Broncos record now stands at 24-2.

With the loss, St. Joseph's Academy moves to 8-14 on the season. The Redstickers host Woodlawn-B.R. (Baton Rouge, LA) to confront the Panthers in a 5A District 4 battle on Monday, April 7. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 9-10. Woodlawn-B.R. lost 19-0 in their recent non-league battle against Newman (New Orleans, LA)
