The Sussex Central Golden Knights triumphed over the visiting Newark Charter School Patriots softball squad by a count of 15-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Golden Knights meet the Milford Buccaneers (Milford, DE) in a Henlopen North challenge, on Thursday, April 10. Sussex Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record.
The Patriots (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Delaware Military Academy (Wilmington, DE). The Seahawks enter the Diamond State challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Delaware Military Academy overcame Ocean City (Ocean City, NJ), 9-1, in a non-league challenge.
