The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA) and the host Woodlawn-B.R. Panthers (Baton Rouge, LA), observed Newman's softball team notch a victory over Woodlawn-B.R. by a tally of 19-0.

The Greenies (9-7) will now prepare for their bout against Metairie Park Country Day (Metairie, LA). The Cajuns go into the 2A District 10 bout with a 10-2 record. In their last bout, Metairie Park Country Day gained a win over East Jefferson (Metairie, LA), 17-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers (Baton Rouge, LA) in a 5A District 4 bout, on Monday, April 7. Woodlawn-B.R. will attempt to advance on its 9-10 season record. The Redstickers go into the bout with a 8-14 record after their 11-0 non-league loss to Iowa (Iowa, LA).
