In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Monticello Sages baseball team scored a tight 9-2 victory over the St. Teresa Bulldogs.
The Sages (5-2) will now prepare for their game against Olympia (Stanford, IL). The Spartans go into the Illini Prairie game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Olympia was overwhelmed by Morton (Morton, IL), 13-3, in a non-league game.
The Bulldogs (3-4) will now prepare for their game against Central A & M (Moweaqua, IL). The Raiders go into the game with a 0-6 record. In their last game, Central A & M was overwhelmed by New Berlin (New Berlin, IL), 14-0, in a non-league game.
