Tuscola Warriors (Tuscola, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Arcola Purple Riders (Arcola, IL), 13-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Warrensburg-Latham for a challenge on Thursday, April 7. Tuscola will battle a Cardinals squad coming off a 9-5 non-league win over Riverton (Riverton, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Arcola falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Purple riders travel to Villa Grove (Villa Grove, IL) to battle the Blue Devils in a Lincoln Prairie challenge on Friday, April 8. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 7-8. Villa Grove won 10-6 in their recent league challenge against Cumberland (Toledo, IL)
