Fremd Vikings (Palatine, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Warren Township Blue Devils (Gurnee, IL), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Carmel for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 7. Fremd will face a Corsairs squad coming off a 10-5 non-league win over Belvidere (Belvidere, IL). The Corsairs record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Warren Township falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Grant Community (Fox Lake, IL) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 9. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. Grant Community lost 14-1 in their recent league challenge against Antioch (Antioch, IL)
