Spectators at Wednesday's non-league match between the Marengo Indians (Marengo, IL) and the visiting Sterling Golden Warriors (Sterling, IL), witnessed Marengo's softball squad tip Sterling by a count of 4-3.

The Indians now sport a 7-0 record. They play next when they host Richmond-Burton for a Kishwaukee River match on Thursday, April 7. Marengo will face a Rockets squad coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to McHenry (McHenry, IL). The Rockets record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Sterling moves to 2-1 on the season. The Golden warriors travel to Quincy (Quincy, IL) to face the Blue Devils in a Western Big 6 match on Thursday, April 7. The Blue Devils go into the match with a record of 1-3. Quincy lost 4-1 in their recent non-league match against Pittsfield (Pittsfield, IL)
