Independence (Ashburn, VA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting McDowell Trojans (Erie, PA), 10-7 in a non-league test.

With the win, Independence upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The travel to St. John's (Washington, DC) to battle the Cadets in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 11. The Cadets come into the test with a record of 14-0. St. John's won 9-7 in their recent non-league test against Springboro (Springboro, OH)

With the defeat, McDowell falls to 0-3 on the season. The Trojans travel to Corry (Corry, PA) to battle the Beavers in a District 10 Region 5 test on Monday, April 10. The Beavers come into the test with a record of 2-2.
