In Thursday's league battle, the host Hillsboro Hiltoppers soccer squad scored a close 3-0 win over the Pana Panthers.

The Hiltoppers (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Pleasant Plains/New Berlin (Pleasant Plains, IL). The Cardinals go into the non-league battle with a 9-2 record. In their last battle, Pleasant Plains/New Berlin nipped Riverton/Tri-City (Riverton, IL), 9-0, in a league battle.
