Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Academy of the New Church Lions (Bryn Athyn, PA) and the visiting Perkiomen School Panthers (Pennsburg, PA), witnessed Academy of the New Church's softball squad tip Perkiomen School by a count of 7-6.
The Lions now sport a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Abington Friends for a non-league match on Wednesday, April 12.
With the loss, Perkiomen School moves to 0-1 on the season. The Panthers travel to Mercersburg Academy (Mercersburg, PA) to face the Blue Storm in a non-league match on Saturday, April 8. The Blue Storm go into the match with a record of 2-4. Mercersburg Academy won 9-7 in their recent non-league match against Friends (Baltimore, MD)
