Amherst Falcons (Amherst, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Adams-Friendship Green Devils (Adams, WI), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Falcons now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host New London for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 11.
With the loss, Adams-Friendship falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Green devils host Wautoma (Wautoma, WI) to battle the Hornets in a South Central challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 1-3.
