Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Maroa-Forsyth Trojans (Maroa, IL) and the host Athens Warriors (Athens, IL), witnessed Maroa-Forsyth's softball squad tip Athens by a count of 9-8.

The Trojans now sport a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Tri-City/Sangamon Valley for a non-league match on Friday, April 7. Maroa-Forsyth will face a Storm squad coming off a 4-2 league win over Pawnee (Pawnee, IL). The Storm record now stands at 5-1.
