Lincoln-Way Central Knights (New Lenox, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Barrington Fillies/Broncos (Barrington, IL), 4-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Lockport for a SouthWest Suburban challenge on Friday, April 7. Lincoln-Way Central will face a Porters squad coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Fremd (Palatine, IL). The Porters record now stands at 5-2.

With the loss, Barrington falls to 3-2 on the campaign. The Fillies/broncos host Marist (Chicago, IL) to face the RedHawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. The RedHawks enter the challenge with a record of 5-1. Marist won 8-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL)
