Coventry Patriots (Coventry, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Bolton Bulldogs (Bolton, CT), 13-0 in a league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Woodstock Academy for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. Coventry will battle a Centaurs squad coming off a 14-6 non-league loss to Norwich Free Academy (Norwich, CT). The Centaurs record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Bolton falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Ellington (Ellington, CT) to battle the Knights in a North Central Connecticut challenge on Monday, April 10. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 7-2. Ellington won 8-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Glastonbury (Glastonbury, CT)
