The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the West Branch Warriors (Morrisdale, PA) and the host Bucktail Bucks (Farwell, PA), saw West Branch's softball squad nip Bucktail by a count of 9-8.

The Warriors now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Curwensville for a Moshannon Valley match on Tuesday, April 11. West Branch will face a Golden Tide squad coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Penns Manor (Clymer, PA). The Golden Tide record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Bucktail falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bucks host Sugar Valley Rural (Loganton, PA) to face the Phoenix in a Mid-Penn D4 match on Tuesday, April 11. The Phoenix enter the match with a record of 1-2. Sugar Valley Rural lost 12-5 in their recent league match against Neumann Regional Academy (Williamsport, PA)
