The Fountain Valley Barons softball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Calvary Chapel Eagles to 5 in the Barons non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Fountain Valley improves its record to 10-10 on the year. The Barons host Newport Harbor (Newport Beach, CA) to clash with the Sailors in a Sunset game on Friday, April 7. The Sailors come into the game with a record of 5-14. Newport Harbor lost 6-0 in their recent league game against Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA)

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Costa Mesa Mustangs (Costa Mesa, CA) in a Orange Coast game, on Friday, April 7. Calvary Chapel will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Mustangs come into the game with a 9-1 record after their 4-3 league win over Estancia (Costa Mesa, CA).
