Munster Mustangs (Munster, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Crown Point Bulldogs (Crown Point, IN), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Penn for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. Munster will battle a Kingsmen squad coming off a 1-1 non-league Lake Central (St. John, IN). The Kingsmen record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Crown Point falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Chesterton (Chesterton, IN) to battle the Trojans in a Duneland challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 1-6. Chesterton lost 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Lake Central (St. John, IN)
