New Trier Trevians (Winnetka, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Deerfield Warriors (Deerfield, IL), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Trevians now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Niles North for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. New Trier will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 11-7 non-league loss to Glenbrook North (Northbrook, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Deerfield falls to 2-2 on the campaign. The Warriors host Niles North (Skokie, IL) to battle the Vikings in a Central Suburban - North challenge on Tuesday, April 11. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 1-4.
