The Rio Hondo Prep Kares softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Edgewood Lions to 0 in the Kares non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Rio Hondo Prep improves its record to 8-5 on the year. The Kares host Academy of Careers & Exploration (Helendale, CA) to clash with the Eagle in a non-league game on Friday, April 7. The Eagle come into the game with a record of 13-4. Academy of Careers & Exploration won 21-2 in their recent league game against Lucerne Valley (Lucerne Valley, CA)

In their next game, the Lions clash with the Pomona Red Devils (Pomona, CA) in a Miramonte game, on Tuesday, April 18. Edgewood will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record.
