Greenville Comets (Greenville, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Nokomis Redskins (Nokomis, IL), 10-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Comets now sport a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Mac for a South Central challenge on Friday, April 7. Greenville will face a Panthers squad coming off a 4-2 league win over Pana (Pana, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Nokomis falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Redskins travel to PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central (Petersburg, IL) to face the Bluejays in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8.
