Pike Central Chargers (Petersburg, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Loogootee Lions (Loogootee, IN), 10-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Chargers now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tecumseh for a Pocket challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Pike Central will battle a Braves squad coming off a 16-11 non-league win over Terre Haute South Vigo (Terre Haute, IN). The Braves record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, Loogootee falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Lions host Shakamak (Jasonville, IN) to battle the Lakers in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 7. The Lakers enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Shakamak lost 16-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Terre Haute South Vigo (Terre Haute, IN)
