Waukesha North Northstars (Waukesha, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Martin Luther Spartans (Greendale, WI), 17-11 in a non-league challenge.
The Northstars now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kettle Moraine for a Classic Eight challenge on Tuesday, April 11. Waukesha North will battle a Lasers squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Fort Atkinson (Fort Atkinson, WI). The Lasers record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Martin Luther falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Spartans host St. Joseph (Kenosha, WI) to battle the Lancers in a Metro Classic challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Lancers enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
