In Saturday's non-league game, the visiting Reed-Custer Comets baseball team scored a tight 5-2 victory over the Canton Little Giants.
The Comets (5-3) will now prepare for their game against Manteno (Manteno, IL). The Panthers go into the Illinois Central Eight game with a 7-0 record. In their last game, Manteno tipped Peotone (Peotone, IL), 11-1, in a league game.
