The Russell County Lakers got by the visiting Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado baseball team by a count of 5-4 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Lakers now possess a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clinton County for a District 16 bout on Tuesday, April 9.

Next, the Blue Tornado face the Bowling Green Purples (Bowling Green, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 6. Paducah Tilghman will attempt to move on its 6-6 season record. The Purples enter the bout with a 16-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Breckinridge County (Harned, KY).
