The Downers Grove South Mustangs held off the visiting Schaumburg Saxons volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Mustangs now have a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Neuqua Valley for a non-league test on Saturday, April 6. Downers Grove South will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to St. Charles East (St. Charles, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-5.
The Saxons (5-8) will now prepare for their test against West Aurora (Aurora, IL). The Blackhawks enter the non-league test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, West Aurora held off Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL), 2-0, in a league test.
