The Mendez Jaguars held off the host St. Monica Mariners volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Jaguars now have a 19-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hollywood for a Central test on Monday, April 8. Mendez will confront a Sheiks team coming off a 3-1 league win over Contreras (Los Angeles, CA). The Sheiks record now stands at 11-2.

The Mariners (10-18) will now prepare for their test against South Gate (South Gate, CA). The Rams enter the non-league test with a 11-9 record. In their last test, South Gate was nudged by Calabasas (Calabasas, CA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
