Volcano Vista Hawks (Albuquerque, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Miyamura Patriots (Gallup, NM), 18-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 1-0 record.

With the loss, Miyamura falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Patriots host Navajo Pine (Navajo, NM) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 15. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
