The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers (Baton Rouge, LA) and the visiting Academy of Our Lady Penguins (Marrero, LA), saw St. Joseph's Academy's softball squad nip Academy of Our Lady by a count of 7-6.

The Redstickers now sport a 20-7 record. They take the field next when they host Evangel Christian Academy for a non-league match on Saturday, April 6. St. Joseph's Academy will face a Eagles squad coming off a 14-3 non-league loss to Academy of Our Lady (Marrero, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 8-21.

With the loss, Academy of Our Lady falls to 16-9 on the campaign. The Penguins host Covenant Christian Academy (Houma, LA) to face the Lions in a non-league match on Tuesday, April 9. The Lions enter the match with a record of 14-10. Covenant Christian Academy lost 17-7 in their recent non-league match against St. Mary's Dominican (New Orleans, LA)
