South Warren Spartans (Bowling Green, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Austin Black Bears (Decatur, AL), 16-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 16-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Silverdale Academy for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 6. South Warren will battle a Seahawks squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Hartselle (Hartselle, AL). The Seahawks record now stands at 20-3.

With the loss, Austin falls to 27-11 on the campaign. The Black bears host Sparkman (Harvest, AL) to battle the Senators in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. The Senators enter the challenge with a record of 10-13. Sparkman lost 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Austin (Decatur, AL)
