The Lakeland Regional Lancers softball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Belleville Buccaneers to 0 in the Lancers non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Lakeland Regional improves its record to 3-0 on the year. The Lancers travel to Wayne Valley (Wayne, NJ) to clash with the Indians in a Big North - Independence game on Monday, April 8. The Indians come into the game with a record of 3-3. Wayne Valley lost 13-7 in their recent non-league game against Indian Hills (Oakland, NJ)

In their next game, the Buccaneers clash with the East Side Red Raiders (Newark, NJ) in a SEC - Colonial game, on Monday, April 8. Belleville will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Red Raiders come into the game with a 1-1 record after their 23-6 league win over West Caldwell Tech (West Caldwell, NJ).
