The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the West End Patriots (Walnut Grove, AL) and the host Cherokee County Warriors (Centre, AL), saw West End's softball squad nip Cherokee County by a count of 2-1.

The Patriots now sport a 15-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Etowah for a non-league match on Saturday, April 6. West End will face a Blue Devils squad coming off a 6-4 league loss to Oneonta (Oneonta, AL). The Blue Devils record now stands at 9-14.

With the loss, Cherokee County falls to 21-3 on the campaign. The Warriors host Ashville (Ashville, AL) to face the Bulldogs in a 4A Area 12 match on Monday, April 8. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 10-12. Ashville lost 5-2 in their recent non-league match against Weaver (Weaver, AL)
