Mississippi High School Softball - Clarkdale gets by Choctaw County

April 6, 2024: Meridian, MS 39301

The Clarkdale Bulldogs (Meridian, MS) softball nipped the visiting Choctaw County Chargers (Ackerman, MS), 4-3 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Bulldogs (15-8) will now prepare for their bout against Lake (Lake, MS). The Hornets go into the 2A Region 5 bout with a 15-7 record. In their last bout, Lake held off Nanih Waiya (Louisville, MS), 8-1, in a non-league bout.

The Chargers now possess a 11-9 record. They play next when they travel to East Webster for a 3A Region 4 bout on Tuesday, April 9. Choctaw County will confront a Wolverines squad coming off a 7-5 league loss to Nettleton (Nettleton, MS). The Wolverines record now stands at 13-12.
