Waterloo Bulldogs (Waterloo, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Collinsville Kahoks (Collinsville, IL), 8-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they host Triad for a Mississippi Valley challenge on Monday, April 8. Waterloo will battle a Knights squad coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL). The Knights record now stands at 3-9.

With the loss, Collinsville falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Kahoks host Gillespie (Gillespie, IL) to battle the Miners in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8. The Miners enter the challenge with a record of 9-3. Gillespie won 12-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Centralia (Centralia, IL)
