Spectators at Saturday's non-league match between the Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN) and the visiting Denfeld Hunters (Duluth, MN), witnessed Simley's softball squad tip Denfeld by a count of 7-1.

The Spartans now sport a 4-0 record. They play next when they host North for a non-league match on Tuesday, April 9.

With the loss, Denfeld moves to 0-1 on the season. The Hunters host Hermantown (Hermantown, MN) to face the Hawks in a Lake Superior match on Tuesday, April 9. The Hawks go into the match with a record of 0-0.
