Northland Pines Eagles (Eagle River, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Elcho Hornets (Elcho, WI), 18-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Spencer for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 8.

With the loss, Elcho falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Hornets host Wittenberg-Birnamwood (Wittenberg, WI) to face the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 11. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
