The Farina South Central Cougars softball team scored 9 runs and limited the visiting New Athens Yellow Jackets to 5 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Farina South Central moves its record to 9-6 on the year. The Cougars travel to Brownstown/St. Elmo (St. Elmo, IL) to clash with the Eagles in a Egyptian Illini game on Tuesday, April 9. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 1-5. Brownstown/St. Elmo lost 6-4 in their recent league game against Altamont (Altamont, IL)

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets clash with the Grayville Bison (Grayville, IL) in a non-league game, on Saturday, April 6. New Athens will attempt to move on its 4-11 season record. The Bison come into the game with a 2-6 record after their 11-1 non-league loss to Edwards County (Albion, IL).
