Leyden Eagles (Franklin Park, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Jones Eagles (Chicago, IL), 18-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Regina Dominican for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 9. Leyden will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 14-1 non-league loss to Niles West (Skokie, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, Jones falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Lincoln Park (Chicago, IL) to battle the Lions in a Chicago Public Red challenge on Monday, April 8. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Lincoln Park lost 12-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Trinity (River Forest, IL)
