La Salle Academy Rams (Providence, RI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Southington Blue Knights (Southington, CT), 9-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Rams now own a 4-0 record. They take the field next when they host Smithfield for a Division 1 (State) challenge on Tuesday, April 9. La Salle Academy will face a Sentinels squad coming off a 8-1 league loss to Pilgrim (Warwick, RI). The Sentinels record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Southington falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Blue knights host Farmington (Farmington, CT) to face the River Hawks in a Central Connecticut - West challenge on Monday, April 8. The River Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
