The crowd at Sunday's non-league bout between the Middlesboro Yellowjackets (Middlesboro, KY) and the visiting Metcalfe County Hornets (Edmonton, KY), observed Middlesboro's softball team get by Metcalfe County by a final score of 3-0.

The Yellowjackets (2-5) will now prepare for their bout against Russell County (Russell Springs, KY). The Lakers go into the non-league bout with a 5-7 record. In their last bout, Russell County was routed by Paducah Tilghman (Paducah, KY), 2-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Gallatin County Wildcats (Warsaw, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 7. Metcalfe County will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 5-4 record after their 15-0 league loss to Trimble County (Bedford, KY).
