The Kellam Knights baseball team scored 12 runs and held the host Manteo Redskins to 1 in the Knights non-league win on Monday.
The Knights now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to First Flight for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 7. Kellam will clash with a Nighthawks team coming off a 17-7 non-league win over Lawrence Academy (Merry Hill, NC). The Nighthawks record now stands at 9-5.
With the defeat, Manteo drops to 7-9 on the year. The Redskins host Nash Central (Rocky Mount, NC) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 7. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 8-7. Nash Central won 9-5 in their recent non-league test against First Flight (Outer Banks, NC)
