In Thursday's non-league challenge, the Agua Fria Owls (Avondale, AZ) baseball squad triumphed over the visiting Sierra Linda Bulldogs (Phoenix, AZ), by a margin of 17-2.

The Bulldogs (2-9) will now prepare for their match against Metro Tech (Phoenix, AZ). The Knights go into the 5A Metro match with a 2-9 record. In their last match, Metro Tech was overwhelmed by Carl Hayden Community (Phoenix, AZ), 14-3, in a league match.
