The Conard Chieftains routed the visiting Bloomfield Warhawks softball squad by a count of 19-3 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Chieftains (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Northwest Catholic (West Hartford, CT). The Lions go into the Central Connecticut - West battle with a 0-2 record. In their last battle, Northwest Catholic was routed by Middletown (Middletown, CT), 19-1, in a non-league battle.
The Warhawks now sport a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Newington for a non-league battle on Monday, April 11. Bloomfield will meet a Nor'easters squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over New Britain (New Britain, CT). The Nor'easters record now stands at 2-0.
