Illinois High School Softball - Fremd gets by Carmel

The Fremd Vikings (Palatine, IL) softball nipped the visiting Carmel Corsairs (Mundelein, IL), 3-2 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Vikings (5-2) will now prepare for their bout against Grayslake North (Grayslake, IL). The Knights go into the non-league bout with a 3-0 record. In their last bout, Grayslake North held off Grayslake Central (Grayslake, IL), 4-1, in a league bout.
The Corsairs now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Grant Community for a non-league bout on Monday, April 11. Carmel will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 14-1 league loss to Antioch (Antioch, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-2.
