The crowd at Thursday's non-league match between the Verrado Vipers (Buckeye, AZ) and the host Horizon Huskies (Scottsdale, AZ), saw Verrado's softball squad nip Horizon by a count of 4-3.

Coming up next, the Vipers clash with the Agua Fria Owls (Avondale, AZ) in a 5A Desert West test, on Friday, April 8. Verrado will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Owls come into the test with a 5-13 record after their 14-1 league loss to Millennium (Goodyear, AZ).

The Huskies (8-15) will now prepare for their test against McClintock (Tempe, AZ). The Chargers come into the 5A Northeast Valley test with a 3-9 record. In their last test, McClintock was tipped by Canyon View (Waddell, AZ), 30-8, in a non-league test.
