The Metea Valley Mustangs baseball team scored 6 runs and limited the host Benet Academy Redwings to 5 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Friday.
The Mustangs (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 8-4 record. In their last match, Plainfield Central was edged by Oswego East (Oswego, IL), 6-2, in a non-league match.
The Redwings (4-3) will now prepare for their match against Maine South (Park Ridge, IL). The Hawks go into the non-league match with a 2-8 record. In their last match, Maine South was edged by Libertyville (Libertyville, IL), 3-2, in a non-league match.
