The DeKalb Barbs (DeKalb, IL) baseball trounced the host Rockford Auburn Knights (Rockford, IL), 20-0 in Friday's non-league match.
The Barbs (7-2) will now prepare for their match against Kaneland (Maple Park, IL). The Knights go into the non-league match with a 5-5 record. In their last match, Kaneland gained a win over Belvidere (Belvidere, IL), 16-1, in a non-league contest.
The Knights now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jefferson for a Northern Illinois contest on Monday, April 10. Rockford Auburn will play a J-Hawks squad coming off a 17-2 non-league loss to Winnebago (Winnebago, IL). The J-Hawks record now stands at 0-2.
