West Virginia High School Baseball - Tucker County defeats Preston

April 7, 2023: Kingwood, WV 26537

Spectators at Friday's non-league battle between the Tucker County Mountain Lions (Hambleton, WV) and the host Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), saw Tucker County's baseball squad beat Preston by a margin of 13-6.

Coming up next, the Mountain Lions play the Liberty Mountaineers (Clarksburg, WV) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, April 8. Tucker County will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Mountaineers enter the battle with a 2-7 record after their 10-8 league win over Elkins (Elkins, WV).

The Knights now sport a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Liberty for a Big Ten battle on Monday, April 10. Preston will play a Mountaineers squad coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Tucker County (Hambleton, WV). The Mountaineers record now stands at 4-7.
