Columbus East Olympians (Columbus, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Brown County Eagles (Nashville, IN), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Olympians now sport a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Greensburg for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 8. Columbus East will face a Pirates squad coming off a 11-4 non-league loss to Madison (Madison, IN). The Pirates record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, Brown County falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Greenwood (Greenwood, IN) to face the Woodmen in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 10. The Woodmen enter the challenge with a record of 1-3. Greenwood lost 12-3 in their recent league challenge against Whiteland (Whiteland, IN)
